pet peeves

I like to think of myself as a generally tolerant person but I have a few minor pet peeves about Nicaraguans. They are the following:

Taxi drivers who are convinced I need their services (honk and stop for me without my signaling)

Nicaraguans who don’t move back on the bus (the buses here get crowded and people like to crowd up the front of the bus) even as the bus driver yells at them to move back.

Throwing out trash from bus windows

Slow walking (taking up the whole sidewalk while barely moving)

Insisting that you climb over them to take the window seat instead of just moving over

Catcalls that include any form of mama (I am no one´s mother) or muñecita (I am not a doll, I can take my own initiative and make my own decisions)
